Meet Our Fantastic Office Staff
We are so lucky to have each of them! They’ll help you with all your scheduling, billing and other admin-related tasks, plus they’re usually the first face you see when you come in.
They are here to help patients (and practitioners!) and not only do a great job, but they are each lovely humans all around, and patients enjoy seeing them as part of their visit with us. They are an integral part of our clinic and keep it all running smoothly for us all.
I’ve been happily employed at FTAW for about 1.5 years thanks to a dear friend who referred me to Dr. Jennie. I feel fortunate to work with this great team in supporting our wonderful patients!
I grew up in Oklahoma, went to college at TCU in Texas, and then moved to Colorado in January 1992 after graduating. That is when I discovered that I was a mountain girl at heart. I love being outside and feel fortunate to enjoy the fabulous hiking, skiing, paddling, and wildflower peeping that our gorgeous state has to offer.
I’ve been married for 28 years to my best friend who I met at TCU. Before we had children in 2005, my hubby and I took a hiatus from work (he was a stockbroker and I was an executive recruiter) and we did almost a year of backpacking in Europe and Asia (Nepal and Thailand were our faves), and then spent a year working as SCUBA instructors for a resort in Roatan, Honduras.
We came back to CO to resume working and to start our beautiful family. My daughter is a freshman studying Public Health at the University of South Carolina and my son is a junior at Arapahoe High School. As my kiddos continue to explore their lives as young adults, my husband and I are practicing our empty-nester skills with our last precious “baby,” a 5-year-old Australian Shepherd named Smokey.
I am very excited to be joining Dr. Jennie’s esteemed team at Family Tree Acupuncture and Wellness and grateful to be able to work with such a gifted group of care practitioners. After over 25 years in the field of early childhood education, I did not expect life to land me here! I came to Dr. Jennie as a patient and was blown away by her expertise as an Acupuncturist, Herbalist, and Manual Therapist.
Prior to joining FTAW, I spent my career working with young children in the field of early childhood education. I have a BA in Psychology from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, and an ECE degree from Metropolitan State College, in Denver, Colorado. Over the course of my life, I have had the opportunity to work as a teacher and mentor teacher, as an assistant director and director, and even started my own early childhood program from the ground up.
I loved setting up classrooms, creating curriculum, building relationships with families, and teaching other teachers how to use best practices. But figuring out how to best connect with each child in my class to help them reach their highest potential, was what I enjoyed the most! Working with young children has been a passion of mine my entire life and I have thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to positively impact so many little ones and their families along the way.
I’m excited about starting this new chapter in my life and joining the FTAW team! I believe in the incredible expertise and abilities of the care practitioners at FTAW to bring about powerful healing and positive change in your overall health and well-being. I look forward to meeting all of you and working with you in the future.
I’m a native Coloradoan and have lived in south Denver for 25 years. I have been an active member of my community, especially working with youth organizations. I volunteered full-time while raising my two children. Taught and created programs for youth ministry at my home congregation of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Held several positions in PTO leadership in Littleton Public School District. Cooked, camped, managed cookies, supported and traveled with my daughter’s Girl Scout troop.
As I moved back into the professional realm, I have worked with youth as a paraprofessional at the middle school level and teaching and administration at the preschool level.
My children are now journeying on their own paths. My son will graduate Illinois Institute of Technology in December and is planning his wedding in January 2025. My daughter is pursuing her goals at Arizona State University.
Now, my husband and I are empty-nesting and moving into the next season of life together. I enjoy being in the office a couple of days a week as well as seasonally seamstressing for two local professional sports teams. I refill my cup traveling, cheering on the home sports teams, and getting outdoors with family and friends.
